Best ribs in St. Louis?

Where's the best place for barbecued ribs in St. Louis? You know, St. Louis-style babyback ribs. Slow-cooked. With the sauce cooked in over several hours, not just sloshed on top before they hit your plate.

The best place used to be the Philpott back yard at 550 Warder Avenue, right across the street from Ann Billmyer's and two doors down from Dorothy Gershenson, and a few more doors and across the street from Linda Lochhead.

Next was Mac's BBQ on the Rock Road. Anyone remember Mac's?

But it's years later, and times and places have changed. Now I'm talkin' finger-lickin' ribs. The roll-up-your-sleeves-and-get-sauce-everywhere ribs.

For my last birthday, I didn't want cake. I wanted Birthday Ribs! And I got them, too.

Name your favorite BBQ joint in a comment below. Include the address or location. And your name, so you can be duly thanked!
